Martin Luther King, Jr., a Baptist minister, was a driving force in the push for racial equality in the 1950's and the 1960's. In 1963, King and his staff focused on Birmingham, Alabama. They marched and protested non-violently, raising the ire of local officials who sicced water cannon and police dogs on the marchers, whose ranks included teenagers and children. The bad publicity and break-down of business forced the white leaders of Birmingham to concede to some anti-segregation demands.
Thrust into the national spotlight in Birmingham, where he was arrested and jailed, King organized a massive march on Washington, DC, on August 28, 1963. On the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, he evoked the name of Lincoln in his "I Have a Dream" speech, which is credited with mobilizing supporters of desegregation and prompted the 1964 Civil Rights Act. The next year, King was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
Background of the speech.
The main idea in the speech is talking about the white and black discrimination between them and also about the conflict happens towards the black skin in America. It talks about the discrimination to the black skin in terms of their rights and freedom. In that speech also suppress about the process of gaining their rightful place that they must not be guilty of doing wrongful deeds. I have a dream today.
This is his speech. I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.
This is our hope. This is the faith that I go back to the South with. With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood. With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day.

Subhannallah... that's is the 1st words that i can give to express my feelings on how excited i'm in knowing that there's still have one Islamic country that can stood up with dignity, pride and power... Iran not only powerfull Islamic country but also have many beautiful sites. In terms of history, landmark, country, sites and issues that goes on in Iran, there's many that can we talk or summarize on it. However, julie.... so unfortunate i cannot give you 5 stars for your presentations. although, you've done a good job on preparing the slide. your slide it's very creative and dynamic, but... it also disadvantages your speech, why? because its seems that you have diificulties to move around the slide, you take more than 10 sec, to move from one slide to another... one more thing, Please, please... if you got a very nice country to discuss on your presentation, Please, please... read more and filterize your speech content, because I'm hungry of knowledges... i need to know more, more and more about this world and what happen inside it...

Khairuddin Barbarossa (Hizir Hayreddin Pasha) was the famous Navy Fleet Admiral for Ottoman Empire, also known as “The Red Beard Barbarossa” because his beard is red color. His hair, beard and eyebrow were very thick in red color. According to the historian, his eyebrow was connected between one and another.
He is the most successful and scariest Navy Fleet Admiral during his time. Moreover, the Westerners are using his name and story to scare their children to make them obey the parents. Barbarossa is a bright and intelligence young person that like make jokes and friendly to his friends. During his youth, he speech style was excellent. One of the amazing things about Barbarossa is that he was experts in 6 languages (Turkish, Greek, Arab, Spain, Italy and France). He is a brave person that full of consideration, confident and tactics when he attacks the enemy fleets. He was born as a healthy young boy who good in the fight and wrestling.
During the Ottoman Empire, he becomes the high official rank of Navy. His rank is Kaptan-I Derya (Navy Fleet Admiral). As the Admiral, he never forgets to pass his knowledge and experiences to his subordinates. That is why, many of his lower rank officer becomes a famous Navy Admiral like him. One of his officers is Turgut Reis, he becomes Navy Admiral after the death of Barbarossa.

Barbarossa’s Legacy:

Barbarossa established Turkish supremacy in the Mediterranean which lasted until the Battle of Lepanto in 1571.
After their defeat in Lepanto, the Ottoman Turks quickly rebuilt their fleet, regained Cyprus and other lost territories in Morea and Dalmatia from the Republic of Venice between 1571 and 1572, and conquered Tunisia from Spain in 1574.
Furthermore, the Turks ventured into the northern Atlantic Ocean between 1585 and 1660, and continued to be a major Mediterranean sea power for three more centuries, until the reign of Sultan Abdülaziz, when the Ottoman fleet, which had 21 battleships and 173 other types of warships, ranked as the third largest naval force in the world after the British and French navies (see the main article History of the Turkish Navy).

Conclusion

This book is must read by everyone, regardles young or old. by reading this book, somehow the readers can explore the life of the past Muslim Martyr who full of struggle on protecting their faith and other Muslim Brothers and Sisters. By learning the Islamic History, the readers can be more respectful and proud on being Muslim.

Mahathir was born on 20 th December 1925 in a large and loving family of Encik Mohamad Iskandar and his wife Cik Wan Tempawan binti Cik Wan Hanapi. He was the youngest of nine children. He thought that he would follow his father’s footsteps to become a teacher not more than that. During World War II, he sold pisang goreng and other snacks to get his family income in the Japanese occupation of Malaya .He involved in politic while finished his secondary school. He married with Siti Hasmah on 5th August 1956 and have five children .His owned clinic,MAHA Clinic which was located in Alor Setar (now Alor Star) was the first open by the Malay.


This ambitious man was the 4th Prime Minister of Malaysia. He entered his office as the Prime Minister on 16th July, 1981. In his office, he has campaigned to maintain and strengthen racial harmony within Malaysia. He also wanted to improve the position of the Malays in business and other matters in order to preserve a balance of opportunity for all citizens. A lot of growth, improvement and changes that we can see today have occurred under his leadership. For example, he decides to put the clock ahead by half an hour in 1981. Mahathir is also known for his criticisms of western and developed countries. He believes that Malaysia should become a developed country where all citizens, regardless of race, skin color or believes enjoy living here. He is believes in his personal faith and has strong opinion. In his view, a leader who easily persuaded to change his mind is no leader and to be a leader, one has to look ahead all the time, always have new idea to improve condition for everybody. During this administration, he is considered as one of Asia's most influential leaders.

Speech Style
When look at JFK inaugural speech, in my opinion, his speech is different from other speech because it has some elements that make it special. Firstly is in terms of language. The language that had been use in the speech is simple and easy to understand. Thus, it is easy for the audiences to absorb the speech. The word that been used can touch the audience’s feeling. For example, ‘ask not what your country can do for you- -ask what you can do for your country’. This memorable injunction is meaningful and still use until now. Secondly is in terms of the content. The content of the JFK inaugural speech is very different from other US Presidents. It is more toward the peace of the world and poverty. It is not about power and oppresses where the rich become richer and the poor become poorer.
Opinion on the background of the speech
According to Macmillan Dictionary, inaugural speech is one made by someone to celebrate the start of an important new job. John F Kennedy delivered this speech when he appointed as the 35th US President on Friday, January 20, 1961. This speech is about what he going to do while in his office. For example, his wanted to against the poverty and war.

Opinion on the personality
In my opinion, (based on his speech) he is a motivated and ambitious man. He is not an ordinary man. In his inaugural speech, he spoke of the need of the Americans to be active citizen. He called the American to fight against poverty, disease and war which are the enemies of man. He is the youngest US President and the only president that won Pulitzer Prize through his book, ‘Profiles in Courage’ in 1955. American regularly votes him as one of the best president.
Besides, he was also a strong and patient. Even he faced with many personal tragedies, such as his wife died in his office; he still managed himself and his work well.

As you surf through the internet you’re bound to come across certain designs that you love and some that you hate. But good blog design has a few unique elements when compared to the design of a traditional website. Here are ten things to keep in mind when designing your blog.

1. Content Should be the Focus.
A blog is nothing without its content. In order to keep your visitors focused on the content, it should be the focal point of the design. Distracting readers with excessive images and extra items can be counterproductive. For this reason, many of the best blog designs are fairly simple. Simplicity is common for blogs that want to emphasize the content.

2. Ease of Navigation.
Readers will come to your blog through search engines, links from other blogs, RSS feeds, social media sites, etc. Only a small percentage of your readers will enter your blog through the front page. This makes navigation even more important. The sidebar typically will include the majority of the navigation with links to categories, recent posts, and sometimes popular posts. Footers are sometimes also used for additional navigation.

3. Loads Quickly
Many of your visitors will have a very short attention span (this is really no different for blogs than traditional websites). In order to immediately catch their attention and avoid having them click off of your site, your pages should load quickly. This is especially important you plan to use social media to generate traffic. Some blogs are weighed down by excessive widgets that really hurt the page load speed. By keeping your blog clean and free of unnecessary items you can really cut down on the time it takes to load.

4. Content Start High on the Page.
This one is more of a personal opinion than a fact, but I believe that more of your visitors will pay attention to your articles if they start higher on the page. Make it as easy as you can for readers to get started with your posts, and then they’ll be more prone to scroll down for the rest. Again, this is especially important for traffic from social media sites. Those visitors will be less likely to scroll and more likely to click off of your blog.

5. Memorable for Visitors.
Most blog readers visit a number of blogs each day, and many of them will feature the same (free) themes. Make it easy for your visitors to remember your blog and standout from all of the free themes by customizing a theme yourself, or by having a blog theme professionally designed.

6. Not Overrun with Ads.
For most blogs making money with advertisements is a necessity. However, even in these cases it’s important to use advertisements effectively by not allowing them to take over the blog. Your readers will feel like they are not a priority to you if advertisements take center stage.

7. Compatibility with Multiple Browsers.
Your visitors will be using a number of different browsers, and if your blog is not functioning well in all of them you could be losing readers. Fortunately, 90% of your visitors will probably be using the leading 3 or 4 browsers. In order to know that you blog is functioning well you’ll need to test it in multiple browsers.

8. Good Use of Color.
The best designs effectively use color to improve the appearance. This can be done any number of ways, and sometimes it’s even a subtle aspect of design. The color combinations don’t have to jump out at readers, in fact, they actually need to make it easy for visitors to read the blog posts. 9. Easy to Read.
This is really more about formatting the content of the blog than it is about a theme design. Keep in mind that most readers will be scanning your posts rather than reading them word-for-word. Use headlines, white space, lists, and bold text to make it easy for readers.

10. Important Items Should Be in Prominent Positions.
Effective design will draw the attention of readers to important items, such as subscription information. The most important links, images, etc. should generally go above the fold so that visitors will see them right away. Getting rid of unnecessary items will also help readers to focus on what’s important.

The 90/10 Principle

Discover the 90/10 Principle.

It will change your life (at least the way you react to situations).
What is this principle? 10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by how you react.

What does this mean? We really have no control over 10% of what happens to us.
We cannot stop the car from breaking down. The plane will be late arriving, which throws our whole schedule off. A driver may cut us off in traffic.

We have no control over this 10%. The other 90% is different. You determine the other 90%.
How? ……….By your reaction.

You cannot control a red light. but you can control your reaction. Don't let people fool you; YOU can control how you react.

Let's use an example.
You are eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter knocks over a cup of coffee onto your business shirt. You have no control over what just happened.

What happens next will be determined by how you react.

You curse.

You harshly scold your daughter for knocking the cup over. She breaks down in tears. After scolding her, you turn to your spouse and criticize her for placing the cup too close to the edge of the table. A short verbal battle follows. You storm upstairs and change your shirt. Back downstairs, you find your daughter has been too busy crying to finish breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus.

Your spouse must leave immediately for work. You rush to the car and drive your daughter to school. Because you are late, you drive 40 miles an hour in a 30 mph speed limit.

After a 15-minute delay and throwing $60 traffic fine away, you arrive at school. Your daughter runs into the building without saying goodbye. After arriving at the office 20 minutes late, you find you forgot your briefcase. Your day has started terrible. As it continues, it seems to get worse and worse. You look forward to coming home.

When you arrive home, you find small wedge in your relationship with your spouse and daughter.

Why? …. Because of how you reacted in the morning.
Why did you have a bad day?
A) Did the coffee cause it?
B) Did your daughter cause it?
C) Did the policeman cause it?
D) Did you cause it?

The answer is "D".
You had no control over what happened with the coffee. How you reacted in those 5 seconds is what caused your bad day.

Here is what could have and should have happened.

Coffee splashes over you. Your daughter is about to cry. You gently say, "Its ok honey, you just need to be more careful next time". Grabbing a towel you rush upstairs. After grabbing a new shirt and your briefcase, you come back down in time to look through the window and see your child getting on the bus. She turns and waves. You arrive 5 minutes early and cheerfully greet the staff. Your boss comments on how good the day you are having.

Notice the difference?

Two different scenarios. Both started the same. Both ended different.
Why?

Because of how you REACTED.

You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% was determined by your reaction.

Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 principle. If someone says something negative about you, don't be a sponge. Let the attack roll off like water on glass. You don't have to let the negative comment affect you!

React properly and it will not ruin your day. A wrong reaction could result in losing a friend, being fired, getting stressed out etc.

How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic? Do you lose your temper? Pound on the steering wheel? A friend of mine had the steering wheel fall off) Do you curse? Does your blood pressure skyrocket? Do you try and bump them?

WHO CARES if you arrive ten seconds later at work? Why let the cars ruin your drive?
Remember the 90/10 principle, and do not worry about it.

You are told you lost your job.

Why lose sleep and get irritated? It will work out. Use your worrying energy and time into finding another job.

The plane is late; it is going to mangle your schedule for the day. Why take outpour frustration on the flight attendant? She has no control over what is going on.

Use your time to study, get to know the other passenger. Why get stressed out? It will just make things worse.

Now you know the 90-10 principle. Apply it and you will be amazed at the results. You will lose nothing if you try it. The 90-10 principle is incredible. Very few know and apply this principle.
The result?

Millions of people are suffering from undeserved stress, trials, problems and heartache. We all must understand and apply the 90/10 principle.

It CAN change your life!!!
