THE RIGHT PATH

Raihan

Why are we here, where we come from
Where's our future, leading us
Where's our life, taking us
Show us the path, dear Allah
What are we, to do here
There must be a reason to be here
Ya Allah the greatest
Nor of these you create for waste
Show me the right path
The path of the favoured one with your grace
Show me the right path
The path of Rasulullah and his companions
Don't leave me please your guidance I need
Show me the way, light up my life
Don't leave me please your guidance I need
Show me the way, to gain your love

7th-kashmir - MiRanTi

salam..
last Monday an Indonesian, miranti had presented about Kashmir. what i understand from her presentation is Kashmir is located at the center between Pakistan, India and China. the capital city is Rajapura and the major official religion in Kashmir are Hindu, Muslim and Buddhist. sardar attique ahmed khan is the prime minister of kashmir. The most important part in Kashmir is valley because it is the most fertile land .because of the valley, Kashmir neighbours such as Pakistan and India are always fighting to get this country.
for her presentation, i think it was good. four things that i can say about her presentation are -well prepared-has the flow-confident-good in answering question. but she can be a good speaker if - not depending on the power point- give only the main points in the slide-minimize her 'Malay' words (apa itu, bukan).overall, i give 3 stars for her presentation...well done!!

Pakistan...julida 'the smiling girl' in our class presented this country.what comes to your mind when you heard the word 'Pakistan'??as for me,the benazir assassination will come in my mind..this is the 'hot' issue where everybody talk about it.until now we can see in mass media still taking about this tragic issue.benazir was shoot by gun on 27 December 2007 after her speech at Rawalpindi.because of this, the election was postponed from 8 January to 18 February.many argument and assumption occur regarding this issue. the capital city is Islamabad and practice semi presidential government.about 96% of the residents are Muslim.there were two major conflict in this country: Indo-Pakistani war and Bangladesh-liberation war. the first war began in 1947 which was between India and Pakistan.in these war no one won.the second war was in 1971 between west Pakistan (now Pakistan)and east Pakistan(now Bangladesh)in this war, east Pakistan won because of India sent military supplies to help Bangladesh.Pakistan surrender on 16 December on the same year.
as for the presenter, julida, you don't have to worry anymore...you did very well..congrats...she began the presentation with a good introduction.her body language and eye contact was good.her joke make the class 'life'.but her voice become slower and slower..but a bit disappointed because we can't watched video that she wanted to show us.if we can watch it, i think her presentation will become more interesting.she said that bilawal, benazir son is handsom..hahahha but how about 'your' beckam?? huhuuhuh..overall, i gave you 4 stars??is it enough??huhuh..congrats!!!

5th-PALESTINE- eyllia

salam,
last Monday was the fifth presentation in our prof speech class..and the luckiest person on that day was.....Eyllia Eryani...huhuh..she presented about Palestine, 1 of the Islamic country..it is also known as As-Sulta Al- Wataniyya Al-Filastiniyya, the short form are Filastin or Palestine. Ram Allah is the capital city and it is situated in the middle East, west of Jordan.Palestine use the Republic type of government and the Prime Minister is Salam Fayyad. it is not an independent state as it has never had sovereignty over any territory.there were many conflicts occured in this country. some of them were the 6 Days War, The Yom Kippur War and Palestinian Intifada ( uprising).
As for the presentation, i think she could improve more (huhuhu me too). she just looked at the one side of the audiences and if I'm not mistaken she didn't greet the audiences. she just start the presentation without an introduction even to introduce herself. but overall the presentation was good.

4th-LeBonOn-NAsRA-To RefLect and To Act...

Until now, we've been through the 4th presentation done by Nasra.. she was talked about Lebanon, well personally i always think that Lebanon is under Turkish government, hehehe... its proven that i'm only have a lil' bit knowledge about what happen in the world, but Thanks to Nasrah, she able to fix my ignorance and give me new information.
Hmm.. about her presentation, i hope next time she will be more aware of the uses of the technology, since the computer in the class using power point version '97 but her data made by version 2007... so things like this we should noticed before and make a lil' bit of PLAN B or PLAN C or whatever Plan...

Anyway, I'm always asked to my self, since we learn about the issues and conflicts that happen to the Muslim country, Why most of the Muslim country are poor or we can say "Developing Country"? What makes so diffrent between the Developing Country (Low Income) and Developed Country (High Income)?

Some says:
Depends to the Age of that country!
but, look at Egypt and India which still in the category of Developing Country although they civilization started since more than 2000 year ago. In the mean time, Singapore, Canada, Australia, New Zealand- which consider as Young Country (not more than 150 year) has become one of the Advanced (Developed) Country in the world.

Depends on the Natural Resources!
The existence of the natural resource cannot determine whether a country will be poor or rich.
Japan for instance, they had very limited teritory or land area, 80% of the land are covered by mountains which not enough for the agriculture activities. However, Japan manage to become one of the largest economies in the world. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_Japan)

Moreover, if we talk about Swiss, a country which don't have enough chocolate plantations because only 11% of the land that can be used for agriculture but labeled by others as the best chocolates producer.Swiss is able to produce milk with the finest quality (Nestle- one of the largest food companies in the world) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nestle

Conclusion:
So what makes a significant diffrences between Developed and Developing Country.
Hmm... Every executive and businessman from Developed Country has discussed these matters with their fellow business partners from Developing Country. They had agreed that there was no significant diffrences in terms of Intelligence, Skin Color or Race.
If tou talk about race, the imigrant that usually claimed to be unproductive in their original country are turn into very productive and considered as one of the important human resources in the Developing Country like Europe.

So what is the problem?
the diffrences are in term of the ATTITUDE of its own people which has formed through the year by Culture and Education. according to the analysis, the majority of people in Developed Country are obey the Basic Principals of Live, such as:

  1. Ethics
  2. Honesty and Integrity
  3. Responsibility
  4. Respect and Obey the Law and Regulations
  5. Respect other people's rights
  6. Love their Job
  7. Like to invest and saved money
  8. Hardworking
  9. Punctual

In the poor country only a few minority of a group of people who willing to follow and perform the Basic Pricipal of Live... Think about it, because the Majority of the Poor Country are Muslim Country, while Islam has the most complete guides book of Moral and Ethics (Akhlaq/ ATTITUDE) known as Al-Quran...

So, definetly its really easy if we looking for someone to be blame, Just look at the mirror and Think...

lets know what is LANGUAGE!!

hi...

today's class (January 2, 2008), i learnt about language..when talk about language, what comes to your mind??in Macmillan, language is a method of human communication using oral or written word.mdm.shafizan did mentioned that language means expression of thought and feeling using a medium : vocal sound. she also mentioned that language is COMPLEX. there are homonym, homophones and the last one is heteronym.( my mom ask me to be a teacher, {as she is a teacher}but i don't want. but today, while typing this post, i feel like I'm a teacher..-telling u some info that i got in my class..huhuhuhuh)

  1. the 1st i is homonym, one of a group of words that share the same spelling or pronunciation (or both) but have different meanings.in short:1 word that have multiple meaning..
for example:

  • tissue a) animal/ plant cells are made of nerve(every animal/plant have in their body b)a type of very thin paper used 4 wrapping(most ladies have in their bag..huhuhu)
  • bank a) a river bank b) a savings bank
  • bow - a)a kind of tied ribbon b)To bend forward at the waist in respect
  • dove a) bird b) d) past of dive
  • close a) near b)to shut

2.the second type of language is homophones, words that sound alike but different in meaning. there are many example for this category. some of the example are :

  • affect and effect
  • too and two
  • shelf and chef
  • cut and card
  • buyers and bias

3. the last 1 is heteronym the word that spell in the same way but have different meaning.the example are

  • consort a) wife/ husband of a king/queen b) to spent sometime with someone who consider as bad
  • pole a) people from Poland b) a long thin stick
  • bass a) a fish b)[instrument
  • ruler a) the one who rule an organization/ leader b) something that we use to make a line
  • ruff a) a large collar with upright fold b) a highest value in poker game

so, what do you think??if 1 word can make us confuse, what about 1 sentence??(cited from mdm shafizan word) it will lead to misunderstanding and communication breakdown...but i think i get confuse about the 1st and the 3rd categories.they seem to be the same..i can't see any difference s...huhuu..actuall, today's class was interesting. i felt like in the kindergarten..mdm show us picture to guess...huhuhu..but i think, i didn't past the kindergarten test coz only can answer several questions...huhuhu..pity me..oh ya...4 further detail click http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homonym

3rd-SuDan- Lutfi

salam...the 3rd presentation was about Sudan present by my team mates, Lutfi..as all we know, Sudan is 1 of the Muslim country. Lutfi did mentioned a lot of information about this country. as he mentioned in the class, Sudan is the largest country in Africa and 1 of the poorest country in the world. fortunately, 1 of our classmate, Nasra is from Sudan. So, we get the correct information from her. she did mentioned that, her country is not that poor. there are some part of Sudan are well developed especially in Khartoum, the capital city of Sudan. i can see the differences between the developed area and the undeveloped area. for example, in Darfur, the children are force to be a rebellion army. they have to fight for their country.

as for the presentation, he did a good job. he manage to deliver his speech well. he looked confident while delivering his speech. but i think he should more concern about time management and eye contact. if I'm not mistaken, he took about 20-30 minutes to deliver his speech. he should not told the audience all info that he know because he only have 10- 15 min to present. all in all, his presentation was good..emmmm...i give him 4 stars.hehehehehe... congratulation n Good Luck!!
